View profile
Dianne Schommer-Uwamahoro founded Lifestyle Fitness Africa and has led it as Chief Executive Officer since inception, bringing fifteen years as a certified group fitness, Zumba® and Jumping® instructor in Switzerland and native Kinyarwanda and English alongside four further languages. She opened the centre in March 2020, one week before Rwanda’s first national lockdown, and has since built it to approximately 500 members and a team of six, introduced more than 25 coaches into the Rwandan fitness sector—several now managing gyms of their own—and established Jumping® Fitness in the country as its official representative. In LFA 2.0 she carries operations, coach recruitment and development and the member experience, together with the institutional client relationships that anchor the business, including national security, public health and regulatory bodies. Her ambition is a wellness offer Rwanda’s middle class can genuinely reach, with at least 60 percent women participating and a professional career pipeline for young Rwandan women behind it.
